They are a complete in-house development by T-MAX, and not, as is often the case in this market segment, third-party products. The winches are available with a steel cable and roller fairlead or with a high-quality Dyneema® synthetic rope and aluminum fairlead. Operation is via a wired remote control, which can be easily attached to the handlebars thanks to the included bracket. An optional comfortable wireless remote control can be retrofitted. Unlike the \"large\" winches, these winches are powered by a compact and powerful permanent magnet DC motor. This means that the stator magnetic field is generated by permanent magnets. This has the advantage that no electrical energy is required to generate the magnetic field. This is particularly advantageous for small quads with less powerful alternators and smaller batteries. Permanent magnet motors are often disparaged as simple or cheap, but especially in low-power motors, they are superior to series-wound motors in terms of efficiency and are also smaller in design. Inside the winch, state-of-the-art innovative technology is hidden, which makes the outstanding performance of the ATW Pro Series winches possible. For example, a torque limiter protects the winch from overload and the risk of rope breakage with dangerous rope whipping, especially with winches using steel cable. The mechanics and gearbox are completely sealed for long durability and low maintenance. Roller bearings ensure smooth running, which is immediately noticeable when manually unreeling. The newly developed clutch of the freewheel can be operated by turning the right, yellow end cap. The newly developed and patented braking system EBT (Eccentric Block Type) prevents the rope drum from heating up during winching. This means that even the heat-sensitive Dyneema synthetic rope can be used with these winches. Dyneema® winch ropes are made from the strongest SK-75 fiber. Due to the special attachment, the winch can still be used with the specified maximum pulling force even with only one wrap on the drum. The polished aluminum fairlead (AFL) prevents the synthetic rope from fraying. The winch is controlled by a compact relay with a maximum load capacity of 500 amps. Silver-plated relay contacts reduce contact resistance, voltage losses, and temperature. For mounting the winch, it comes with a universal mounting plate. T-MAX ATW Pro Series 2500 The ATW Pro 2500 is equipped with a 0.8 HP permanent magnet motor and has a pulling force of 1,134 kg (2,500 pounds). The planetary gear has a ratio of 189:1.
