T-MAX Omega Shackle 1/2 (Quad)

Shackles are an almost indispensable accessory for recovery. For example, recovery straps are attached to vehicles with a shackle, as are tree anchor straps to the winch hook or a pulley block. On many vehicles, the towing eyes are so close to the body or bumper, or the towing eyes are so small, that the winch hook cannot be attached. A shackle can help in such cases. Shackles are available in various sizes and essentially in two forms, referred to as D-shackles and omega shackles. Omega shackles are more versatile, especially if you want to hook two strap ends on the closed side. Very important when using them: the shackle's locking pin should never be screwed in all the way. Under extreme loads, a shackle can easily deform. A fully screwed-in bolt can then no longer be opened or only with the help of a tool. Therefore, first screw in the bolt completely and then unscrew it again by about half a turn. Made of cast alloy steel and powder-coated. Omega shackle 1/2 Smaller version for use with ATVs and quads. The maximum working load limit (WLL) of the shackle is 2 tons, and the breaking load is at least 10 tons.
