A recovery strap can be used as an extension for a winch rope that is too short or to recover a vehicle stuck off-road. If it is foreseeable during water or mud crossings that the vehicle might get stuck, it makes sense to attach a recovery strap (also known as a winch extension strap) to the vehicle's towing eye beforehand, so that in an emergency you don't have to attach a winch rope in or under water. Ideally, the strap can then be thrown to the recovery partner without the driver having to leave the vehicle. When using a recovery strap, jerky loads must be avoided at all costs to prevent damage to the vehicles or the strap itself. Especially with normal road vehicles, towing eyes are not designed for jerky loads and can tear out or deform the frame. If a vehicle cannot be recovered with a standard recovery strap, a kinetic strap should be used for recovery. T-MAX recovery straps are made of nylon. Both ends are folded, reinforced, and protected with an additional sleeve. A movable sleeve serves as protection against scratches if the recovery strap rests against the vehicle. Shackles may be required for attachment to the vehicle. Recovery strap 17500-20 The recovery strap 17500-20 has a length of 20 m and is 80 mm wide.
