For more than three decades, delta4x4 has been the specialist for "Body Lift Kits" (BLK) in Europe. A body lift is a suspension lift where the body is detached from the vehicle's load-bearing ladder frame and the chassis is raised using spacer blocks.
The steering column, fuel filler neck, brake and fuel lines, and other components may need to be extended. Depending on the vehicle model, it may also be necessary to relocate the bumpers. All vehicle-specific parts for the conversion are included in the kits. With this lifting method, the entire axle geometry of the vehicle is retained compared to a "Suspension Distance Kit." The articulation angles of the drive shafts, cardan shafts, and axle components are not changed.
The main advantage of a BLK is the possibility to install larger tires. Larger tires, in turn, allow for a higher wading depth and enable larger approach/departure angles, thus improving off-road capability. Increased wear on the drivetrain does not occur. Noise caused by tighter articulation angles of the drive shafts also remains unchanged.
